A proposed recipient should be someone you suspect of having a critical mass of (or at least sufficiently interesting) electronics junk, should have a non-zero online presence, and should be reliable enough that you think they actually will send it off again within two weeks.

Each TGIMBOEJ box has a book of names in it (which you're supposed to add one to), so you should have some good choices.  We also [[Box_Requests|have a list]] of people who have requested to receive a box-- you can probably find someone to send it to there.  This is not chain mail. You do not send it to "the next person on the list."  You send it to a ''worthy recipient'', as determined by your own judgement

So you've received your box and written about it. What now? You still need to pass the box on to someone else.

Who do you send your box to?

A proposed recipient should be someone you suspect of having a critical mass of (or at least sufficiently interesting) electronics junk, should have a non-zero online presence, and should be reliable enough that you think they actually will send it off again within two weeks.

Each TGIMBOEJ box has a book of names in it (which you're supposed to add one to), so you should have some good choices. We also have a list of people who have requested to receive a box-- you can probably find someone to send it to there. This is not chain mail. You do not send it to "the next person on the list." You send it to a worthy recipient, as determined by your own judgement
